Connect the air-delivery tubing and the sensor

Attach the air-delivery tubing to the fitting on the bottom of the instrument enclosure (

Figure 8

on page 13, item 8). For the sensor installation, refer to the airblast adapter, tubing kit and sensor
documentation for more information.

Startup

N O T I C E

The thermal limit switch opens if the pump ON cycle is more than 60 seconds or the pump OFF cycle is less than
15 minutes. Do not exceed the duty cycle specified for instrument.

1. Turn the power to the controller on.
2. From the System Setup menu, select Relays. Set the duration to 60 seconds or less. Set the

interval to 15 minutes or longer. Refer to the controller manual for more information.

3. Turn the power to the controller off.
4. After the installation, turn the power to the instrument on.
5. Turn the power to the controller on.

Maintenance

Multiple hazards. Only qualified personnel must conduct the tasks described in this section of the
document.

Clean the enclosure

N O T I C E

Never use solvents to clean the enclosure.

1. With the enclosure securely closed, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
2. Look at the air intake on the compressor on a regular basis to make sure that the port is not

clogged. A clogged air intake can decrease the life of the compressor and degrade the sensor
cleaning performance.

Replace the fuses

D A N G E R

Electrocution hazard. Remove all power from the instrument and controller before this maintenance
task is started.

D A N G E R

Fire hazard. Use the same type and current rating to replace fuses.

1. Disconnect all power to the instrument and the controller.
2. Loosen the screws on the front cover and open the front cover.
3. Remove the three screws from the clear cover and remove the clear cover (

Figure 9

).

4. Examine the fuses. Replace any open fuses with new fuses. Refer to

Specifications

on page 3 for

fuse requirements.

5. Install the clear cover with the three screws.
