Caution

The PASCO Neodymium Magnets are extremely strong.
When opposite poles are brought close to each other, they
will accelerate rapidly and easily pinch fingers. They can
also erase computer discs and distort computer monitors and
TV sets. We suggest you keep these magnets away from
computers and you data storage.

Introduction

The PASCO Neodymium Magnets are equipped with a soft
vinyl cover on the circumference and one pole. This coating
helps to prevent chipping of the magnets. When the magnets
are shipped, the exposed pole of the red magnet is South and
the exposed pole of the blue magnet is North.

Storing Magnets

When storing magnets, place them side by side or back to
back as shown in the figure below.

It does not damage the magnets to store them pole piece to
pole piece, but it makes them difficult to separate.

Removing the Vinyl Covers

On occasions where it is desirable to remove the plastic
cover, it may be gently pulled off. It is suggested that you
replace the cover on the magnet before storing the magnets.
Replace the covers so that the red vinyl cover will leave the
South pole exposed and the blue vinyl cover will leave the
North pole exposed.
