To Use with a 750 Interface
Set-up
1.
Turn on the 750 Interface
2.
Connect the serial plug of the converter to the serial connec-
tion on the back of the interface. (See fig. 3)
3.
Connect the USB plug to the USB port on the computer or
USB hub. (See fig. 2)
4.
Open DataStudio (version 1.9.8 or later).
Benefits
•
When using the serial port on the interface, the maximum
sustained sample rate increases from 500 Hz to 4000 Hz.
The maximum sustained sample rate when using the 750
interface with a SCSI port is approximately 10000 Hz. Burst
mode will still provide a 250000 Hz sample rate.
•
Using the serial port on the interface, the maximum frame
rate when using an oscilloscope display increases from about
2 frames/sec to 11 frames/sec. Frame rates will vary depend-
ing on the computer processor speed, available RAM, and
time base selected. The maximum frame rate when using the
750 Interface with a SCSI port is approximately 64
frames/sec.
