Before and during the installation of the KINO-945GSE DO NOT:

ƒ DO NOT remove any of the stickers on the PCB board. These stickers are

required for warranty validation.

ƒ DO NOT use the product before verifying all the cables and power connectors

are properly connected.

ƒ DO NOT allow screws to come in contact with the PCB circuit, connector pins,

or its components.

5.2.2 Installation Checklist

The following checklist is provided to ensure the KINO-945GSE is properly installed.

ƒ All the items in the packing list are present

ƒ A compatible memory module is properly inserted into the slot

ƒ The CF Type I or CF Type II card is properly installed into the CF socket

ƒ The jumpers have been properly configured

ƒ The KINO-945GSE is inserted into a chassis with adequate ventilation

ƒ The correct power supply is being used

ƒ The following devices are properly connected

o

Primary and secondary IDE device

o

SATA drives

o

Power supply

o

USB cable

o

Serial port cable

ƒ The following external peripheral devices are properly connected to the

chassis:

o

VGA screen

o

Keyboard

o

Mouse

o

RS-232 serial communications device

o

USB devices

5.3 Unpacking

When the KINO-945GSE is unpacked, please check all the unpacking list items listed in

Chapter 3 are indeed present. If any of the unpacking list items are not available please
