The SPDIF connector connects to the S/PDIF audio module, which bears S/PDIF digital

output. S/PDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interface) is a newest audio transfer file format, which

allows the user to enjoy digital audio. The SPDIF1 port provides digital audio to external

speaker or compressed AC3 data to an external Dolby Digital Decoder via a coaxial cable.
