D.1 Introduction
The motherboard comes with an onboard Realtek ALC203 CODEC. Realtek ALC203 is a
16-bit, full duplex AC’97 Rev. 2.3 compatible audio CODEC with a sampling rate of 48KHz.
D.1.1 Accessing the AC’97 CODEC
The CODEC is accessed through three phone jacks on the rear panel of the motherboard.
The phone jacks include:
3. A LINE input shared with surround output
4. A MIC input shared with Center and LFE output
5. A LINE output
6. A MIC input line.
D.1.2 Driver
Installation
The driver installation has been described in Section 6.3.
After rebooting, the sound effect configuration utility appears in the Windows Control
Panel (Figur
). If the peripheral speakers are properly connected, sound effects
should be heard.
