Disk file errors

While reading in the system files, several reading errors can occur. The
system files are SYSSU.DAT, INSTAL.DAT, and PLOT.DAT.
ANASCAN cannot run without these files.

ERROR WHILE
READING DATA

FILE NOT FOUND

The system file does
not exist on the indi-

tory path.

The INSTAL.DAT file should be on the
default drive and directory. The other sys-
tem files should be on the data file drive

directories, copy the system files from the
backup disks to the appropriate directories.

General failure
or
Access failure

There is a disk drive
hardware access fail-

Run CHKDSK or other diagnostic pro-

For a floppy drive: make sure that there is
a disk in the right drive and that the drive
door is closed.

or
Invalid disk drive

The data disk path
that you set in the

Run SCANINST and verify that the drive
and directory path exist and are valid.
Don’t forget to verify that “\” is at the end
of the path entry.

There is corrupted or
invalid data in the
