Connecting the Power Cord (if the power supply voltage suffix code is -2)

When Using an AC Adapter

Precautions to Be Taken While Connecting the Power Supply

Make sure to follow the warnings below when connecting the power supply. To prevent
electric shock and damage to the MV, observe the following warnings.

WARNING

• To prevent electric shock, make sure that the power source is turned OFF.
• Only use the power cord that YOKOGAWA provides for use with the MV.
• Confirm that the power source voltage matches the specifications of the AC

adapter before connecting the power cord.

• When you do not plan on using the MV for a while, remove the power cord from

the AC outlet.

• Only use a YOKOGAWA AC adapter.
• Do not place objects on top of the AC adapter or power cord, and keep them

away from heat sources.

• When removing the plug from the power outlet, do not pull on the cord. Pull

from the plug. If the power cord is damaged, contact the dealer from whom you
purchased the cord.

Connection Procedure

1.

Check that the power switch is OFF.

2.

Connect the power cord and the protective ground cord to the power terminal.

Use round crimp-on lugs (designed for 4-mm screws) with insulation sleeves. The
appropriate tightening torque for the screws is 1.4 to 1.5 N

m.

Note

Do not wire the protective grounding

cord to the functional ground terminal.

3.

Attach the power terminal cover (transparent), and fasten it with screws.
