Note: If a sensor is in error the display will show "- - -" and the actual temperature
loaded into the sensors register will be 130 F. This insures that the heat stage will
not be allowed to operate until the sensor is corrected.

10.1.2 Possible Solutions

Sensor Error

If any of the sensors are bad try the following:

• Reset the controller by taking power away at the breaker, or unplugging it.
• Determine which sensor is bad, then check the connection inside the controller door.
• Determine which sensor is bad, then check the sensor that is hanging in the house to

make sure that it has not been damaged.

• Check the wire going to the sensor(s) to be sure there are no staples through the

wires.

• Replace the bad sensor.

10.1.3 Local Network Errors

If the display flashes “LnE” it indicates that there is a Local Network Error. If you
are attached to the Vent Master 24 via the Local Network connection there is a
communications problem. Report this problem to your local dealer.

If you are using the Heat Zone as a stand-alone controller with no Local Network
Connection, you can disable this error code by setting P40 to an address between 8
and 32.
