Burst
Burst Waveform
Background The function generator can create a waveform
burst with a designated number of cycles. Burst
mode supports sine, square and ramp waveforms.
Steps 1. Set the carrier waveform and burst
frequency. You can set the carrier
waveform and burst frequency in
the Selecting a Basic Waveform
section.

2. From the first level of the AFG
menu, press the Signal 1 Setup or
Signal 2 Setup key to select the
signal source.
3. From the bottom menu press Burst.
4. From the side menu turn Burst On.
Note
Only one modulation mode can be active at any one
time. The function generator also will not allow sweep,
burst or ARB mode to be used with a modulation
function. Activating a modulation mode will turn the
previous modulation mode off.
5. Press N Cycle from the side menu.
