Use a new or known, good piece of media and see if it loads. If it does, the original cartridge
is faulty and should be discarded.

Check if another Ultrium drive of the same model will accept the cartridge. If it does, the original
drive may be faulty. Before calling customer service, please check that the tape drive is responding.

Encryption troubleshooting

Ensure that you are using an Ultrium 3000 or Ultrium 1760 tape drive and Ultrium 3 TB or 1.6
TB media, repectively.

Ensure that your software supports hardware encryption. It may be necessary to update the software.
