To display all objects, including programs, that depend on the
table you want to modify, click on the Objects button.

Simulate Production Statistics

You can manually update statistics to simulate different production
environments. To simulate production statistics, your copy of dba/m
Database Manager must be licensed to update table statistics. Check with
the NonStop Himalaya System administrator to determine if you have the
appropriate license.

Warning: Genus Software strongly recommends that you perform
simulations in a user-controlled transaction mode, so that you can roll back
the changes to the statistics. Otherwise, statistics data in the catalogs is
permanently changed.

Change Table Statistics

Table statistics of all of the selected tables are displayed in the Table
Statistics pane shown in Figure 7-7. You can update the following
attributes: Number of Rows and End Of File Position.

To change table statistics

1. In the Table field, click on the name of the table. Column and index

statistics of the table are displayed.

2. Place the cursor in the # of Rows field and edit the field.

3. Place the cursor in the EOF Position field and edit the field.

Change Column Statistics

You can update the Second Highest Value and the Second Lowest Value
in the Column Statistics pane. To change column statistics

1. In the Column Name field, click on the name of the column you want

to change.

2. Place the cursor in the column’s Second Highest Value field and edit

the field.

3. Place the cursor in the column’s Second Lowest Value field and edit

the field.
