Send a fax to a group manually (ad hoc faxing)
Use the following instructions to send a fax to a group of recipients:
1. Load the document into the document feeder input tray.
2. Press the Phone Book button.
3. From the list, select the phone book entry. If no entry exists, use the keypad on the control panel
to dial the number.
4. To continue dialing numbers, repeat steps 2 and 3. If you are finished dialing numbers, go to the
next step.
5. Press the Start Fax button.
6. If you have more pages to scan, press 1 to select the Yes option, and then repeat step 5 for each
page of the fax job. If you are finished, press 2 to select the No option.
The product sends the fax to each fax number. If a number in the group is busy or does not answer, the
product redials that number based on the redial setting. If all redial attempts fail, the product updates
the fax activity log by adding the error, and then it proceeds to the next number in the group.
Manual redial
1. Load the document into the document feeder.
2. On the control panel, press the Redial button.
3. Press the Start Fax button.
4. If you have more pages to scan, press 1 to select the Yes option, and then repeat step 3 for each
page of the fax job. If you are finished, press 2 to select the No option.
The product sends the fax to the number that it redialed. If the number is busy or does not answer, the
product redials the number based on its redial setting. If all redial attempts fail, the product updates the
fax activity log by adding the error.
