Description

RAM DISK

(HP Color LaserJet 3000 and
3800 Series printers only)

AUTO

OFF

Determines how the RAM disk feature is configured.
Select AUTO to allow the printer to determine the optimal
RAM disk size based on the amount of available memory.
OFF disables the RAM disk, but a minimal RAM disk is still
available. The default is AUTO.

LANGUAGE

A list of available languages
appears.

Sets the default control-panel language.

I/O TIMEOUT

Selects the I/O timeout in seconds.

PAGE BUFFERING

(HP Color LaserJet 3600 Series
printer only)

OFF

ON

Sets whether the printer should maximize performance or
minimize engine wear while waiting for information to be
transferred. Select ON if the printer uses USB or Ethernet
10Base-T. The default is OFF.

PARALLEL INPUT

(HP Color LaserJet 3000 and
3800 Series printers only)

HIGH SPEED

ADVANCED
FUNCTIONS

Sets speed and other options for an optional parallel
connection.

EMBEDDED JETDIRECT

Possible values are:

TCP/IP

IPX/SPX

APPLETALK

DLC/LLC

SECURE WEB

DIAGNOSTICS

RESET SECURITY

LINK SPEED

Configures the HP Jetdirect embedded print server.

NOTE

For the HP Color LaserJet 3600 Series printer,

the only available network protocol is TCP/IP.

EIO 1 JETDIRECT

(HP Color LaserJet 3000 and
3800 Series printers only)

Values vary, depending
on the product in the EIO
slot.
