Click Reports > Performance Monitor > Performance Control to open the Performance Control
window.

Click

to change to Modify mode.

In the Performance Control window, click Performance Control. The Performance Control main
window appears.

Select the WWN tab.

In the upper-left tree, select the old host adapter (

) from below Monitor and then right-click

the selection.

From the pop-up menu, select Change WWN and PFC Name. The Change WWN and PFC
Name window opens.

Enter the WWN of the new host adapter in the WWN combo box. For details on how to get
the WWN the HBA WWN, see the HP XP7 Provisioning for Open Systems User Guide.

You can select the WWN of the newly connected host adapter in the WWN combo box.

9.

If necessary, enter a new PFC name in the PFC Name box. You can use up to 64 characters
for a PFC name.

10. Select OK to close the Change WWN and PFC Name window.
11. In the Performance Control main window, click Apply to apply the settings to the storage

system.

Working with PFC groups

You can use Performance Control to create PFC groups to manage multiple host adapters as a
single group. Each PFC group can contain up to 32 HBAs, and you can create up to 512 PFC
groups in the storage system. All HBAs in a PFC group have the same priority. Prioritized WWNs
and non-prioritized WWNs cannot be mixed in the same group.

You can use a PFC group to switch priority of multiple HBAs from prioritized to non-prioritized, or
vice versa. You can also use a PFC group to set the same upper limit value to all HBAs in the group.
