While browsing devices within the Device Selector, you may wish to obtain more details about the device, or
perform management tasks. To access the menu of options, select the device(s) within the right pane, click the
Actions button located above the left pane, or right-mouse click on the device entry to display the context menu. A
menu such as the following will appear:

The actions available will vary depending on the type and number of devices you have selected. Actions will be
discussed in more detail later in this chapter.

Creating Custom Groups of Devices

In performing your device management tasks, you may find that you spend a significant percentage of time
managing certain devices such as those belonging to a particular department in your organization, or devices of the
same type and model. In these cases, it may be easier to manage and monitor these devices as a permanent group,
rather than searching for and acting on devices one-by-one.

There are two ways to create Custom Groups within the Device Selector:

• Click the Custom Groups tab. Select “Actions” at the top of the left pane and select the menu item “New

Group”. This menu will also allow you to manage existing Custom Groups.

• Select one or more devices from anywhere within the Device Selector and display the Action menu. Select the

option “Add to Custom Group”. The dialog that appears will allow you to specify an existing Custom Group to
add the device(s) to, or allow you to create a new one.
