• Threshold 2: threshold for pool usage rate (%)

Default setting is 80%, and it cannot be changed.

• Attribute: program product that uses the pool

• XP Thin Provisioning: XP Thin Provisioning
• XP Snapshot: XP Snapshot

• CLPR: CLPR number to which the pool belongs

Initialize button

If there is no pool in the storage system, this button initializes the entire V-VOL management area.

If there are one or more pools in the storage system, this button optimizes the unallocated page

management table in the pool management information. This process could take up to 30 minutes.

Warning:

This will cancel all pending operations.

SIM Complete Request check box

Completes the SIMs related to pools. If you select the check box, and click Apply,

the SIMs that occurred when the usage rate of a pool exceeded the threshold or when

a pool became blocked will be completed. For details about completing SIMs, see

Managing Pool-Related SIMs

” on page 61.

Apply button

Applies the operations that have been performed in the Pool window to the storage system. If the

specified operations complete successfully, the contents that have been displayed in blue italics in

the Pool tree or Pool-VOL list will be displayed in normal black text.

If an error occurs during the operations, an error code and error message will be displayed in the

error message dialog box. For a complete list of XP Thin Provisioning error codes, see the HP

Cancel button

Cancels all the operations that were performed in the Pool window.

V-VOL Window

The following figure shows the V-VOL window, which is used to create V-VOLs.
