A pop-up menu is displayed.

Note:

If the pool usage rate is 95% or higher, the pop-up menu will not be displayed.

3.

Select Change Pool Information from the pop-up menu.

The Change Pool Information dialog box (

Figure 12

on page 46) is displayed.

4.

Select the value for the threshold from the Threshold drop-down list.

Note:

In the drop-down list, only the values that are higher than the pool usage rate are

displayed.

5.

Click Set.

The Change Pool Information dialog box closes.

6.

Click Apply.

A confirmation message is displayed asking if it is OK to apply the setting to the storage system.

7.

Click OK.

The confirmation message closes, and the change is applied to the storage system.

The items in the Change Pool Information dialog box are the same as those in the New Pool dialog

box. However, in the Change Pool Information dialog box, you cannot enter or select any items other

than the Threshold drop-down list. For details about the items in the Change Pool Information dialog

Deleting Pools

As a general rule, you will specify and delete a single pool. If you choose to delete multiple pools, all

pools that can be deleted will be deleted.

Deleting a Pool

To delete a pool:

1.

Change the mode of the Remote Web Console to Modify.

If the mode is already changed to Modify, you can skip this step. For information on how to

change the mode, see the HP StorageWorks XP24000 Remote Web Console User’s Guide.

2.

Select and right-click the pool you want to delete.

A pop-up menu is displayed.

3.

Select Delete Pool from the pop-up menu.

A confirmation message is displayed asking if it is OK to delete the selected pool.

4.

Click OK.

The icon for the selected pool changes to an icon that indicates the deleting process.

5.

Click Apply.

A confirmation message is displayed asking if it is OK to apply the setting to the storage system.

6.

Click OK.

The confirmation message closes, and the deletion of the pool is applied to the storage system.
