Operator display overview

The operator display provides information on the system operation, viewable on the outside of the MCS
5042 front door. When the management module issues an alarm or warning, the warning and alarm

messages display ("

) on the operator display, as well as on the

web interface Alarms menu and Alarm History menu.

Operator display components

The operator display on the front door of the MCS 5042 unit has a digital touch-screen.
To scroll through the menu options, press the appropriate button on the bottom of the screen.

Warning and alarm messages

The following tables describe the possible warning and alarm messages that the MCS 5042 unit sends to the

management module. These messages appear on the operator display and on the web interface Alarms

menu and Alarm History menu.
Fan unit failed or not installed

Indicators

Meaning

Operator display alarm message Fan 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 Failed

Web interface alarm message

Fan 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 Failed or Not Installed

Condition

Fan 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 is running at less than the minimum RPM
