MAINTENANCE

Basic maintenance practices are required to obtain the maximum life of the machine.

Before initial operation, the oil level of the gearboxes and hydraulic reservoir should be

checked and filled as needed.

The swing bearing should be greased while slowly rotating the unit. All pivot points of the

booms, cylinder pins, axles, chains and levers should be greased.

All hoses and fittings should be inspected for leaks and replaced if leaks are found.

All bolts and fasteners should be inspected and checked for tightness.

If performing electrical welding on the loader, attach the ground clamp to the assembly

being welded. Damage to the bearing surfaces will result from welding arc if improper

grounding location is used.

SAFETY

Be alert to unusual sounds and vibration. Stop machine and check for causes.

Check all bolts periodically.

Check structural members for damage or cracks.

Do not operate if any problem exists.

Do not operate boom within 15 feet of any overhead electrical wires.

Damage to equipment and danger to human life can result from failure to heed the recom-

mendations.
