To activate the VOX function:
1 Connect the headset to the transceiver.
• The VOX function does not activate when a headset is not
connected to the accessory terminal of the transceiver.
2 Press and hold the key programmed as VOX.
• The duration for holding the VOX key is programmed by your
dealer.
• The VOX indicator ( ) appears on the display.
3 To turn the VOX function OFF, press and hold the VOX
key again.
Note:
◆ If a speaker/ microphone is connected to the transceiver while the
VOX function is switched ON and the VOX Gain Level is configured
to a higher, more sensitive level, louder received signals may cause
the transceiver to start transmission.
◆ When you operate the VOX function, you must use an optional
KHS-11BL, KHS-12BL, KHS-14, KHS-15-BH, or KHS-15-OH
accessory.
