The Function Dial

Pictures can only be taken when the function dial is set to P, S, A, or M. When the
function dial set to QUAL, the shutter release will be disabled. At settings of QUAL, WB,
and ISO, Image Quality can not be selected in the shooting menu.

NEF (Raw) and White Balance Bracketing

White balance bracketing can not be used with an image quality of NEF (Raw) or Comp.
NEF (Raw)
. Selecting either option cancels white balance bracketing. White balance for
NEF (RAW) images can be adjusted using Nikon Capture 3 (available separately;

170).
