• You cannot pause recording in Synchro-Recording.
• If Repeat Play is selected, it is automatically

canceled.

• If Shuffle Play is selected, it is automatically

canceled.

• The following functions do not work while

Synchro-Recording:

– Silent Pause function
– Level Sync function
– Manual Track Making function
– Fade-in, Fade-out recording
– Recording level adjustment (the recording level is

set to the same as original disc)

• During Synchro-Recording, the Direct Recording

function is turned on regardless of the Setup Menu
setting.

• When copying a disc digitally recorded under

control of the Serial Copy Management System
(SCMS), the unit automatically select the analog
recording. High speed recording changes to normal
speed recording. For details on SCMS, see page 20.

• When copying a commercial music CD contains

copy protection code, the unit automatically select
the analog recording. High speed recording changes
to normal speed recording.

• SBM function is available only for analog

recordings (page 34).

• You cannot stop recording when finalizing in

Make-Disc Synchro-Recording.

HIGH

High-Speed Synchro-Recording

You can easily make digital recordings from a
CD to a CD-R or CD-RW, faster than normal
speed Synchro-Recording. You cannot monitor
the recorded signal while recording. To use
Make-Disc Synchro-Recording, set “Make
Disc” in the Setup Menu to “On” beforehand
(page 35).

When using the remote, set DECK A/DECK B
to DECK B.

Press POWER.

Press OPEN/CLOSE of DECK B and
place a recordable CD-R or CD-RW on
the disc tray. Press OPEN/CLOSE of
DECK B again to close the disc tray.

“TOC Reading” appears. The unit starts to
read the TOC (Table of Contents) data and
shows the type of the disc on the deck in the
display.
