About Mailboxes
This answering system has three voice mailboxe s . Callers using a touch t o n e
phone can select the mailbox in which their messages will be re c o rd e d by
p ressing ,
, or . All other messages will be re c o rded in Mailbox 1.
About Announcements
• You can re c o rd up to two diffe rent announcements — one fo r
normal answering and one for when yo u ’ve set the system to play the
announcement only.
• Use normal answering when you want the system to re c o rd callers’
m e s s a g e s . Use Announce Only when you want to give information to
callers without accepting messages.
• If you choose not to re c o rd an announcement, the system answers with
a pre - re c o rded announcement.
• The normal answering pre - re c o rded announcement say s : “ H e l l o. P l e a s e
l e ave a message after the tone.” The Announce Only pre - re c o rd e d
announcement say s : “ We ’re sorry, messages to this number cannot be
a c c e p t e d .”
• By setting Announce Only to On or Off, you decide which announcement
your callers will hear when the system answers a call (the system comes
set for normal answe r i n g , with Announce Only turned off). See “ C h a n g e
Announce Only” on page 28 to change your announcement selection.
