replace

a

memory

module.

Note:

Your

computer

has

support

for

eight

memory

modules.

Open

the

computer

cover.

See

“Opening

the

cover”

on

12.

Remove

the

air

duct

(the

memory

modules

are

located

under

the

air

duct).

Locate

the

memory-module

connectors

If

you

are

installing

additional

memory

be

sure

the

retaining

clips

are

open.

Note:

If

you

are

installing

a

memory

module

in

the

top

memory

slot,

you

must

remove

the

air

deflector

from

the

air

duct.

Remove

the

memory

module

being

replaced

by

opening

the

retaining

clips.
