Type Information (text input)
If an extension item with text input was selected, the following parameters
can be set.
Item Name Description
“Extension Button Enable”
check box Select this check box to display the buttons for the extension
items in the control panel of the multifunctional peripheral.
Item Name The function name of the selected item is displayed.
Button Name Specify the name of the button that appears in the control
panel of the multifunctional peripheral.
Panel Message Specify a description for the button that appears in the control
panel of the multifunctional peripheral.
Button Type Select one of the following functions for the button that ap-
pears in the control panel of the multifunctional peripheral.
• Optional Item
• Required Item
• Show Only Item
• Hide Item
Default Value Specify the default setting for the selected extension item.
“Input string shown as ****”
check box Select this check box to display the text entered in the “De-
fault Value” box as “***”.
Keyboard Type Select one of the following types for the keyboard that ap-
pears in the control panel of the multifunctional peripheral.
• ASCII
• Device Dependant
