Standby Update Control
In the DTV Settings menu, press Ÿ or
ź to select Standby Update Control.
Press Ż or Ź to select Enable or Dis-
able.
Standby Channel Update
If the Standby Channel Update is set to On,
when the TV is in standby mode, Digital Tuning
is automatically executed and any new chan-
nels are saved.
In the DTV Settings menu, press Ÿ or
ź to select Standby Channel Update.
Press Ż or Ź to select On or Off.
NOTE: Standby Channel Update is only
available when Standby Update Con-
trol is Enable.
Channel Grouping
There are Video, Radio and Text services
combined in a channel list for DTV services,

change with one service group or among all
services by pressing

When Channel Grouping is On, the
channel change by
P

be within a single service group, press
ATV/DTV on the remote control can be
still used for change services among
ATV, DTV Video, DTV Radio and DTV
Text.
Common Interface
The Common Interface Slot, situated on the
side of the television, enables the insertion of
a CAM (Conditional Access Module) and card.
These are purchased from a service provider
and allow additional subscription broadcasts
to be viewed. For information, see a service
provider.
Insert the CAM and card into the Com-
mon Interface Slot, following the instruc-
tions provided with the CAM. A box will
appear on the screen to con
¿ rm that the
CAM has been inserted.
In the DTV Settings menu, press Ÿ or
ź to select Common Interface, and
press
to enter the submenu.
Details of the CAM should now be avail-
able.
NOTE: The software updating of CI Plus CAM
may be automatically executed. At
this time, any Recording/Reminder pro-
gramme timer will be cancelled.
