Black/White Level

This function increases the strength of dark
areas of the picture, which improves picture
de

¿ nition.

In the Picture Settings menu, press

Ÿ

or

ź to select Black/White Level.

Press

Ż or Ź to adjust the level from

Off, Low, Middle or High. The effect
depends on the broadcast and is most
noticeable on dark colours.

Cinema Mode

A movie

¿ lm’s picture runs at 24 frames a sec-

ond, whereas movie software such as DVD,
etc., that you enjoy watching on television at
home runs at 30 (NTSC) or 25 (PAL) frames a
second. To convert this signal to reproduce a
smooth motion and picture quality, select the
Cinema Mode.

In the Picture Settings menu, press

ź to select Cinema Mode.

Press

Ż or Ź to select On or Off.

Colour Temperature

Colour Temperature increases the ‘warmth’ or
“coolness” of a picture by increasing the red or
blue tint.

In the Picture Settings menu, press

ź to select Colour Temperature and

Ÿ or ź to select Colour Tem-

perature and press

Ż or Ź to select

Medium, Warm or Cool to suit your
preference.

Static Gamma

The static gamma feature allows you to adjust
the levels of black in the picture.

In the Picture Settings menu, press

ź to select Static Gamma.

Press

Ż or Ź to select the number of

Static Gamma (-5~+5).

Reset

This feature resets all picture settings to the
factory settings.

In the Picture Settings menu, press

Ÿ or ź

to select Reset and press

to reset settings.

NOTE: If any picture settings have not been

changed, Reset is not available.

Active Backlight Control

When the Active Backlight Control feature is
activated, High mode will control the backlight-
ing levels depending on various scenes such
as picture motion, bright scene or dark scene.
Low mode will control the backlighting level on
dark scene.

In the Picture Settings menu, press
Ÿ or ź to select Active Backlight
Control
.

Press

Ż or Ź to select Off, Low or

High.

Auto Brightness Sensor

When the Auto Brightness Sensor is activat-
ed, it will automatically optimise the backlight-
ing levels to suit ambient light conditions.

In the Picture Settings menu, press

ź to select Auto Brightness Sensor.

Press

Ż or Ź to select On or Off.
