The oil or fat is no longer

fresh.

Change the oil or fat. Regularly sieve the oil

or fat to keep it fresh longer.

The type of oil or fat you

use is not suitable for deep-

frying food.

Use frying oil or liquid frying fat of good

quality. Never mix different types of oil or fat.

Steam escapes

from other places

than the filter.

You have not closed the lid

properly.

Close the lid properly.

The filter is saturated.

Clean the lid with filter in hot water with

some washing-up liquid or in the dishwasher.

Oil or fat spills

over the edge of

the fryer during
