16 Click the Utilities button.
The Print Utilities dialog box opens.
17 Turn on the “Prepare new print head before printing” option.
18 Click OK.
19 Click Print.
The printer cleans the print head and then prepares to print a test page so you
can check the alignment.
20 If you see a message telling you to open PrintMonitor, choose PrintMonitor from the
Application menu at the far right of the menu bar.
You see this message only if you have background printing turned on in the
Chooser.
21 When you see a message telling you to align the print head, click Continue.
22 After the alignment test page is printed, examine it to decide which numbered bar looks
most like the gray bar at the top of the test page.
Locate the bar on your test sheet that looks most like the bar at the top of
your test sheet. If you see several look-alikes next to each other, choose the
one in the middle.
23 Type the number of the best bar in this dialog box.
After you click OK, the Color StyleWriter Pro prints your document.
Note: After the printer prints your document, the Prepare New Print Head
option is automatically turned off. You don’t have to turn it off before printing
again.
