Slide the power distribution board back into place and tighten the thumbscrew.

Make sure the tabs on the power distribution board go completely into the connector
on the main logic board. If the board doesn’t slide easily, make sure the thumbscrew is
popped up so it doesn’t catch on the mounting post beneath the board.

Remove the old thermal grease from the top of both processors and the bottom
of both heat sinks, and then use the alcohol wipes provided in the kit to clean
the surfaces.

Important:

Hold the processor by its edges.

To avoid contaminating the processor carriers on the main logic board, clean the
grease from the processors before you install them.

WARNING:

Keep thermal grease, the alcohol wipe, and your fingers away from the

bottom of the processor. If you contaminate the underside of the processor or spread
grease residue to the contacts on the main logic board, you may damage the
processor or main logic board.

Remove the old thermal grease residue
from the underside of the heat sinks. Use
the alcohol wipe that came with the kit.

Holding the processor by its edges,
wipe off the old thermal grease residue
from the top. Use the alcohol wipe that
came with the kit.
