If
you
haven’t
removed
all
old
thermal
grease
from
the
processors,
return
to
step
3.
Don’t
try
to
remove
the
grease
with
the
processor
installed
on
the
main
logic
board.
a Unsnap
the
protective
plastic
cover
from
the
processor
retainer
on
the
new
main
logic
board,
unclip
the
processor
retainer
spring,
and
open
the
hinged
retainer.
b Use
the
notch
on
the
processor
to
orient
it,
and
then
set
the
processor
in
the
holder.
c Be
sure
that
the
retainer
spring
is
fully
open,
and
then
close
the
hinged
retainer
and
secure
the
retainer
spring.
d Repeat
this
process
to
install
the
second
processor.
