Apply new thermal grease and install the heat sinks, starting with the processor nearest
the power supply bays.

Evenly apply the entire contents of one grease syringe (provided in the kit) to the
raised top surface of the processor. Be careful not to spread grease on the retainer.

Hold the heat sink above the processor, connect the temperature sensor wires to the
main logic board, and then press the heat sink straight down into position. The
metallic contacts on the temperature wire connector face up.

Tighten the heat sink screws following the diagonal pattern shown above.

Repeat this process to install the second heat sink.

Cover the top, metallic surface of the
processor evenly with thermal grease.
Use the entire contents of one syringe
for each processor. Do not apply thermal
grease to the processor retainer.

Tighten the screws on the
heat sink in the order shown.

Attach the cable on the
heat sink to the connector on
the main logic board. The tiny
metal contacts on the cable’s
connector should face up.
