Reboot System

System tools>>Reboot System

You can reset your WLA-5000AP v3 from the Browser. To reset it:

Step 1 Select Reboot System from the System Tools menu.

Step 2 Click YES to reboot the WLA-5000AP v3.

Rebooting the WLA-5000AP v3 would disconnect any active clients and therefore
will disrupt any current data traffic.

What if you forgot the password?

Hardware Reset To Factory Defaults
If you forgot the password, the only way to recover is to clear the device configuration and return the unit to its
original state as shipped from the factory.

You can reset the Access Point’s Settings to factory defaults by pushing a paperclip in the RESET hole on the
back panel. Push and hold for around 2 seconds until the lights at the front of the Access Point are off. Doing
so will clear your current configuration.

Emergency Recovery

This section guides to recover your WLA-5000AP system if the firmware crashed.

1. Download the tftp server to your PC. In the following example, we use tftpd32:

http://tftpd32.jounin.net/tftpd32_download.html.

2. Copy the tftpd32.exe of the downloaded file to C:\.
3. Change the IP address of your PC to 192.168.1.254 / 255.255.255.0
4. Copy the WLA-5000AP firmware to C:\ and rename the firmware to “zImage”. Note that the name must

be zImage and no extension.

5. Connect WLA-5000AP and PC with an Ethernet cable.
