Installation and Setup

2.1 Getting Ready

SIP Account Information

After choosing a VoIP service provider, you will need the following information:

User name and domain. For example, [email protected].

Password

Authorization Name (if applicable)

Firewall traversal and other network information; see page 58.

XMPP Accounts

If you use an XMPP service for instant messaging or presence, you will need the following information:

Jabber ID: user name and domain. For example, [email protected].

Password

Connection information: see “XMPP Account” on page 53.

System Requirements

Processor Minimum:

Pentium 4® 2.4 GHz or equivalent

Optimal: Intel Core 2 Duo or equivalent; Video Card with DirectX 9.0c support

Recommended to support HD video: Intel Core 2 Duo or equivalent with minimum 3.0
GHz, or a triple- or quad-core processor; Video Card with DirectX 9.0c support.

Memory

Optimal: 2 GB RAM. Minimum: 1 GB RAM

Hard Disk Space

125 MB

Operating System

Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3

Microsoft Windows® Vista® Service Pack 1 or higher

Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 or higher

Microsoft Windows 8

Bria can run in either 32-bit or 64-bit architecture in all these operating systems.

Additional

Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1

Microsoft .NET 4.0 Service Pack 1 or higher

Microsoft VC 2010 Redistributable package

(Note that the installer will take care of installing those if you do not have them).

Connection

Minimum: IP network connection (broadband, LAN, wireless)

Recommended to support HD video: A 2.0 Mbps connection

Note that Bria requires a continual internet connection.

Full-duplex, 16-bit or use USB headset
