To be able to communicate with the scanner and all other components, the Servo Drives
9400 must be assembled with communication modules.
A DeviceNet line can consist of a maximum of 64 nodes. Nodes are ...
ƒ the connected standard devices;
ƒ the scanner;
ƒ all other components taking part in communication.
Integrating the communication modules into the DeviceNet line requires a PC/laptop with
installed configuration software (e.g. »RSNetWorx«). The PC/laptop serves configuration
and diagnostics purposes only and therefore is no DeviceNet node.

Note!
ƒ Connect a bus terminating resistor of 120 W each to the first and the last
node of the DeviceNet line.
ƒ Connect the shield at the voltage supply in conjunction with the "V−"
connection to GND once. Select the centre point of the DeviceNet line if
possible.
ƒ The shield of the DeviceNet cable for each node must only be connected to
the "SHIELD" port of the plug connector.
