Risque de surchauffe de la résistance de freinage
pendant le fonctionnement

Une dissipation calorifique insuffisante pendant le
fonctionnement risque de provoquer une surchauffe
de la résistance de freinage.

Risques encourus :

ƒ

Dommages irréversibles de la résistance de
freinage

ƒ

L’entraînement n’est pas freiné mais part en roue
libre.

Mesures de protection :

ƒ

Connecter impérativement le contact thermique
de la résistance de freinage.

ƒ

Intégrer le contact thermique dans la surveillance
de l’installation de façon à ce qu’en cas de
surchauffe de la résistance de freinage,
l’alimentation de l’appareil de base soit coupée
(exemple : coupure de la commande de
l’interrupteur réseau).

Conditions of Acceptability:

The products covered by this report are intended
for use with Power Conversion Equipment
(drives) only.

ƒ

The Temperature Switch must be connected to
the drive, so that the drive switches off in case
when the maximum operating temperature is
exceeded.

ƒ

Temperature tests and abnormal operation tests
have only been conducted for single resistive
elements (ALW 40 and ALW 80) and for
continuous duty as indicated under RATINGS. For
any grouping of ALW 40 and ALW 80 an
additional temperature test must be conducted,
depending on the evaluation of the mechanical
construction and the expected temperature rise.

For any duty cycle operation in the end−use
application it must be guaranteed that the
maximum Wattage rating will not be exceeded.
This may be evaluated by calculation. If there will
be any concern regarding to this, additional
temperature tests have to be conducted under
end−use conditions.

These devices should be used within their
recognized ratings as specified above.
