Introduction
About the Series 658 Environmental Chamber
The MTS Series 658 Environmental Chamber was engineered for compatibility
with MTS Model 810, and Model 858 Bionix, and Mini Bionix load frames. It
has an acrylic chamber and its transparent walls allow easy viewing when non-
opaque fluids are employed in the test. The walls are compatible with the
relatively moderate temperatures typically employed in simulating the
biomaterials service environment.
The design accommodates a variety of fixture and specimen heights and provides
easy access for specimen and fixture attachment. The separate chamber sections
are sealed with O-rings, and easily moved when fluid is pumped out of the
chamber.
