4.3.0 Run a Test

4.3.1.0 Selecting a Test

The most common methods used to select a test to run are:

Opening an existing test

1. On the File menu, click Open Test or click the Open Test button on the toolbar.

2. Select the test from the Open Test window.

If necessary, use the navigation bar at the top of the window to browse to other locations.

3. Click Open to load the selected test.

Creating a new test from template

1. On the File menu, click New and select Test from Template.

2. Select a template from the New Test from Template window.

3. Click Open to load the selected template as a new test.

4. On the File menu, click Save.

5. In the Save As Test window, select the project where you want the test to be saved.

Creating a new test from an existing test

1. On the File menu, click New and select Test from Existing Test.

2. Select the test from the Copy Existing Test window.

If necessary, use the navigation bar at the top of the window to browse to other locations.

3. Click Open to load the selected test.

4. On the File menu, click Save.

5. In the Save As Test window, select the project where you want the test to be saved.

The default setting is the project associated with the existing test.
