Step 10. Save the configuration.

Step 11. Download the configuration to the ControlLogix processor.

Step 12. Exit the RSLogix 5000 application (or minimize it).

Scheduling the I/O

Use the following procedure to schedule the I/O:

Step 1. Open RSNetworx for ControlNet application.

Step 2. Verify that you are on-line with the previously configured using the RSNetworx application.

Step 3. Turn on the Enable Edits check box.

Step 4. Save the network. This causes the I/O connection created in the RSLogix 5000 application to be

scheduled in the ControlLogix processor. Select the appropriate save type at the Save Configuration
screen.

After a few seconds, the I/O LED on the ControlLogix processor should stop flashing and remain steadily on
(green). The Control Source Select status (Network) on the WebPak OIM should stop flashing and remain
steadily on.

Troubleshooting Guidelines

If the I/O LED on the ControlLogix processor keeps blinking and/or the Control Source Select status keeps
flashing, it could indicate a number of I/O related problems. Use the following guidelines to isolate the problem:

If the WebPak OIM Network status remains steadily on, the I/O connection has been made. The flashing
green I/O LED on the ControlLogix processor indicates that another I/O connection did not start correctly.

A flashing Network status on the WebPak OIM may be the result of a previous error condition on the
network. Try cycling power on the WebPak 3000 drive and notice if the Network status remains steadily on.

The I/O may need to be scheduled in the RSNetWorx for ControlNet again. Repeat the scheduling
procedure.

If the above guidelines do not get the I/O connection opened, please contact technical support for the
ControlLogix processor or the WebPak 3000 drive for assistance.

Viewing and Assigning Controller Tag Values

After the I/O connection is open, you can view and assign contoller tag values. Use the following procedure:

Step 1. Open the RSLogix 5000 application.

Step 2. Select the Controller Tags entry.
