(a) Description
The Sentinel 1 is a high integrity safety
interlock switch. When the guard is opened
the Sentinel 1 safety contacts open and
isolate control power to the machine
contactor(s). When the guard is closed the
Sentinel contacts close and the machine can
then be started via the designated controls.
The switch can not be overidden by
magnets, tools etc.
(a) Beschreibung
Der Sentinel 1 ist ein elektronischer
Sicherheitsschalter mit hohem
Sicherheitsgrad. Wenn die Schutztür
geöffnet wird, öffnet sich der
Sicherheitskontakt des Sentinel 1 und die
Maschine wird abgeschaltet. Beim
Schließen der Schutztür schließt der
Sicherheitskontakt wieder, und die
Maschine kann über die entsprechenden
Steuerelemente gestartet werden. Der
Schalter kann mit Magneten, Werkzeugen
etc. nich umgangen werden. (a) Description
Le Sentinel 1 est a interverrouillage de

Quand la porte est ouverte, les contacts de
sécurité du Sentinel 1 s'ouvrent ce qui
coupe l'alimentation des contacteurs de la
machine. Quand la porte est fermée, les
contacts de sécurité du Sentinel 1 se
ferment et la machine peut démarrer via le
contact de commande prévu à effet.
L'interrupteur ne peut pas être "fraudé" à
l'aide d'aimants ou d'outils.

(r) Ensure that the switch can not be actuated unless the
guard is in its intended position.
(s) Removable guards - Ensure that it is only possible for the switch to be actuated when the guard is fully closed. Two switches may be required.
