Focus Lock CD
To compose photographs with off -center subjects:
1 Position the subject in the focus frame.

2 Focus.
Press the shutter button halfway to set focus
and exposure. Focus and exposure (and in
C mode, parallax; pg. 13) will remain locked
while the shutter button is pressed halfway
(AF/AE lock).
Press

Repeat steps 1 and 2 as desired to refocus
before taking the picture.
3 Recompose the picture.
Keeping the shutter button pressed halfway,
recompose the picture.
4 Shoot.
Press the shutter-release button the rest of
the way down to take the picture.
