Vision plots the measured difference
between the instrument tablet
transmission reference and the certified
standard in the Transmission Standard
Set. This is plotted in light blue.
This spectral difference is quite small.
The small difference assures precise
measurement of the instrument tablet
transmission reference as compared to
the calibrated reference in the
Standards Set.
Click on “OK”.
Vision plots the spectrum of the
calibrated standard in red.
The blue plot of the difference
(previously displayed) is shown in blue
at the bottom of the screen. The blue
spectrum appears “flat” because the
screen is scaled to the absorbance of
both plots.
Click on “OK”.
Vision plots the spectrum of the spectral
correction required to normalize the
instrument tablet transmission reference
to true zero absorbance. This is shown
in magenta.
Note that this correction is calculated
over a wider wavelength range than
that used by the transmission detector.
This is normal.
