TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE FOR FP-300 MIG GUN

FP-300 WIRE CONDUIT REPLACEMENT

To remove the conduit:

1. Lay the MIG-Gun out on a table or on the floor in a straight line. Make sure the gun is fully extended and

all twists in the cable are removed.

2. Remove the nozzle and loosen the conduit set screw in the handle of the gun. Remove the conduit retaining

cap at the rear of the gun.

3. Remove the diffuser and contact tip.

4. Grip the conduit stop and remove the conduit from the rear with a twisting motion.

To install the conduit:

1. Uncoil the conduit and lay it in a straight line. Insert the conduit into the rear connector plug. Push the con-

duit into the gun with short strokes. If the conduit hangs up, twist the conduit counterclockwise or gently
whip the cable while applying pressure to the conduit.

2. When the conduit is completely in the gun, reinstall the conduit retaining cap on the rear connector and

tighten the conduit set screw in the handle of the gun.

3. Trim the conduit extending from the conductor tube 13/15”/20.6mm from the end of the conductor tube.

4. File the cut conduit end to remove burrs that could interfere with wire feeding or catch on the diffuser.

5. Replace the diffuser and contact tip. Install and tighten the nozzle.

6. The MIG-Gun is now ready to be reinstalled on the feeder.
