Control Valve Delay/Advance

The Control Valve Delay and Valve Advance features are recommended for low rate applications and allow the
system to build up pressure when the boom sections are toggled on or off. To program a valve delay and/or
valve advance, press and hold the SPEED CAL button for approximately 5 seconds. The console will display
CONTROL VALVE DELAY followed by the currently programmed value.

The CONTROL VALVE DELAY must be entered as a four digit value (

X

X

X

X) to enable the valve delay and

valve advance features.

The first digit is the control valve delay value. The control valve delay feature sets the delay (in seconds)
between when the booms are turned ON and when the console begins to control the flow rate. Enter a value
from 1 to 9 to set the delay between 1 and 9 seconds respectively. Enter a value of 0 to disable this feature.
The valve delay feature is active if the time between turning the booms off and back on is less than 30
seconds.

The third digit is the valve advance value. This feature allows the operator to set the time (in seconds) which
the control valve will open after all boom sections are toggled off. Enter a value from 1 to 9 to set an advance
time between 1 and 9 seconds respectively. The valve will then be more optimally positioned to pressurize the
system when boom sections are turned back on. Enter a value of 0 to disable the valve advance feature. For
best results, approach the headlands at consistent speeds while turning all boom sections off.

The second and fourth values do not adjust the valve delay or advance feature and should be entered as
zeroes.

For Example:

A starting value of 1020 is recommended to build up pressure during low rate applications in automatic control
mode with the master switch on. To disable the valve delay feature while utilizing the valve advance, enter a
value of 0020. The CONTROL VALVE DELAY value must be entered as a four digit number to ensure the
system responds as expected.

Zero Speed Shut-Off

The Zero Speed Shut-Off function is active when C-FC (fast-close valve) or C-PC (PWM close valve) is
selected, and cannot be disabled. The valve will receive a decrease signal and run closed when the speed
drops to 0.7 mph or less. The only way the console can operate under this speed is in the manual mode.

When the Zero Speed Shut-Off has occurred, the master switch must be turned off and back on to restart the
system. If a constant speed greater than 0.7 mph is not reached within 10 seconds, the Zero Speed Shut-Off
will occur again.
