Folding the Drill

Equipment Damage Risk:
Do not lower drill while in folded position, certain equipment
damage will occur.

1.

Folding is best achieved on level ground with the
tractor transmission in neutral. Be aware of the
clearance required to fold the drill.

2.

NEVER allow anyone near the drill during folding
operations.

Refer to Figure 15 and Figure 16
3.

When folding the drill, the drill transport stabilizer
frame should line up with the nest on the front of the
main frame,

If they scrape the wing on the tongue, the boxes can
be raised or lowered by adjusting the wing
adjustment turnbuckle.

4.

Apply hydraulic pressure to the raising and lowering
system. Raising the drill may be required to free up
the transport lock pins in the vertical tubes for
removal. Place pins into transport position.

5.

Fold boxes using hydraulic cylinders. Do this very
slowly and carefully. Serious damage could occur if
done fast and carelessly.
