Using Various Functions for

Shooting Movies

This chapter serves as a more advanced version of the “Shooting
Movies” and “Viewing Movies” sections in Chapter 1, and explains how
to use various functions for shooting and viewing movies.

This chapter assumes that the mode dial has been set to

E mode. You

can use various functions for shooting movies (pp. 108 – 115), which
differs from shooting movies by pressing the movie button (p. 30).

Press the

1 button to enter Playback mode before playing back or editing

movies.

Shooting Movies in Modes Other than

E

You can shoot movies by pressing the movie button, however, certain
settings made in the

ø and Shooting menus will automatically change

to match settings for shooting movies.

When the mode dial is set to

A, the camera can automatically select all

settings so that you can shoot movies (p. 30).

When you finish shooting a movie, the settings will return to those before
the movie was shot.
