Pre-driving checks and adjustments

WARNING

. Always be sure the lift gate has

been closed securely to prevent it
from opening while driving.

. Do not drive with the lift gate open.

This could allow dangerous exhaust
gases to be drawn into the vehicle.
See “Exhaust gas (carbon monox-
ide)” (P.5-3) of this manual.

. Do not leave children unattended

inside the vehicle. They could un-
knowingly activate switches or con-
trols. Unattended children could
become involved in serious acci-
dents.

. Make sure that all passengers have

their hands, etc. inside the vehicle
before closing the lift gate.

To open the lift gate, unlock it and push the lift
gate opener switch

. Pull up the lift gate to

open.

The lift gate can be unlocked by:
. pushing the UNLOCK

button on the

keyfob or the Intelligent Key (if so equipped)
twice.

. pushing the lift gate request switch with the

Intelligent Key carried with you (if so
equipped).

. pushing the power door lock switch to the

unlock position.

. inserting the key into the driver’s door key

cylinder and turning it to the rear of the
vehicle twice.

The NISMO models have the following unique
parts on the front, side and rear of the vehicle.
. Front bumper (P.6-14)
. Daytime running light (P.2-37, P.8-26,

P.8-28)

. Side sill extensions
. Rear spoiler (P.7-3)
