When making zoning changes, perform the following steps:
1. Define zone aliases to establish groupings. Assigning aliases is optional.
See “Zone Alias Settings” later in this chapter.
2. Create zone members.
See “Zone Settings” later in this chapter.
3. Place zones into a zone configuration.
See “Zone Config Settings” later in this chapter.
4. Enable the zone configuration.
See “Zone Config Settings” later in this chapter.

NOTES: If a switch or device is added or removed from the fabric, relaunch Zone
Administration to get the updated information.
You must have admin privilege to access these functions.
To access zoning functions, click Zone Administration at the bottom of the Fabric
View.
The first function that appears is Zone Alias Settings. To access the other Zone
Administration functions, click the appropriate tab. The following sections describe
each function.


  
Use Zone Alias Settings to configure and manage alias membership (zone aliases
are optional). To access Zone Alias Settings, click Zone Administration from the
Fabric View. You can also click the Zone Alias Settings tab in the Zone Administra-
tion window.
Figure 2-4 shows the Zone Alias Settings screen. Table 2-4 provides a description
for each component in this tab.
