Thermal-Cooling Assembly

1.

Follow the instructions in "

Preparing to Work Inside the Computer

."


 

2.

Remove the

keyboard

.


 

3.

Loosen the captive screw labeled "M" and lift the memory module shield away from the computer.

 

4.

Loosen the four captive screws to remove the hard drive cover.

 

5.

Loosen the four M2 x 3-mm screws that secure the thermal-cooling assembly to the system board.

 

6.

Lift the thermal-cooling assembly straight out of the system board.

CAUTION:

Before performing the following procedures, read the safety instructions in your Product Information Guide.

NOTICE:

To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such

as the back panel) on the computer.

NOTICE:

Disconnect the computer and any attached devices from electrical outlets, and remove any installed batteries.
